In our area of Tasmania there is no great numbers of quail and we have never hunted duck or other water fowl. Our brittany's are used to hunt wallaby. We have found that although our brittany's do not bark like the hound's they will hunt just as hard and hunt all day. Better than some hounds. Several of our brittany's have also displayed a very strong natural instinct for water fowl as well and will set and flush any birds that thinks they can hide from the brittanys sharp sense of smell.
